Franscisco Grimaldo awarded winner of the "Scientific Communication Joan LluĂ­s Vives Award 2007"
Francisco Grimaldo has been awarded with the prize of Scientific Communication ' Joan Lluís Vives'  of 'Xarxa Vives' with the support of the spreading chair of the 'Universitat de Valencia' and CAM (Caja Mediterraneo), in the category of Basic Sciences, Sciences of the Health, Engineering and Architectures.
Jose Duato awarded winner of the "National Award on Computer Science Aritmel 2007"
The Aritmel Award emphasizes extraordinary individual scientific merits in form of publications, contributions, promotion and diffusion of Computer Science. In the concession of this prize to professor Jose Duato, the jury has valued his "excellent scientific contributions in the area of the computer architecture and the networks of interconnection in individual, that have been shaped in an elevated publication registry of quality, projects and a significant activity in the transference of results to the industry".
Jose Duato awarded winner of the "Rei Jaume I Award on New Technologies 2006"

Jose Francisco Duato Marín, Principal Researcher Responsible and Co-ordinator of the ACCA Project, received the "Rei Jaume I Award on New Technologies 2006" internationally recognized, due to its discoveries with international repercussion, in the optimization of the traffic of communication networks and in the design of fast and much more powerful supercomputers.


Pedro Cuenca awarded winner of the "Premio Joven Investigador (Luisa Sigea de Velasco) 2006"
Pedro Cuenca is licensed in Physical Sciences (specialty Electricity, Electronics and Computer science, Extraordinary Prize of Degree) by the University of Valencia, and Doctor in Computer Science by the Polytechnical University of Valencia. He has received the Young Prize Investigating "Luisa Sigea de Velasco" 2006 on the part of the Junta de Comunicadaes de Castilla-La Mancha.
At the moment, he is University professor in the University of Castilla-La Mancha. It has realised stays of investigation in the Nottingham Trent University (England) and in the Multimedia Communications Research Laboratory, University of Ottawa (Canada). Their present lines of investigation are the improvement of the benefits of the communications multimedia on radio networks, compression of video and transcodificación of video. It has published more than one hundred works in magazines and international congresses of his area.
At the moment he leads  IFIP TC6 WG 6.8 "Wireless and Mobile Communications" formed by 25 foreign investigators of more than 15 countries. He is the Director of the Superior School of Computer science Engineering of Albacete.
